Grumpy's Bar & Grill

Welcome to Grumpy’s Bar & Grill, conveniently located in the Providence Square Shopping Center, in the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach.  Grumpy’s has a little something for everyone.  We’ve been asked many times, “Are you a bar or a restaurant?”.  We’re actually both!  Grumpy’s is a full service bar and a restaurant all rolled into one great place. We are a nonsmoking facility but we do have an outdoor patio for our smoking friends. 
THE BAR: Our incredible bartenders have years of “mixology” experience & are always on hand to serve up your favorite drinks or any type of cocktail that you can imagine. For the beer lovers, we’ve got all of your favorite brews too…on-tap or by the bottle, a “cold one” is always waiting for you here at Grumpy’s.  For the Vino lovers…whether you prefer red or white, we carry a very nice selection of house wines as well.  If there’s something special that we happen to not have on hand, just ask & we’ll do our best to have it available for you on your next visit.
THE RESTAURANT: 
Breakfast - To start your day, Grumpy’s serves up a yummy selection of breakfast choices 7 days a week.  We have all your breakfast favorites from eggs fixed anyway you like, omelets & breakfast sandwiches to light & fluffy pancakes.  You’ll definitely leave full & happy, ready to take on the rest of your day.
For Lunch or Dinner,  Grumpy’s has a wide variety of delicious entrees & appetizers to satisfy even the fussiest taste buds. Some of the items include, hand cut steaks, seafood, chicken, pork chops, hamburgers, pasta, hot or cold sandwiches & wraps.  We also have s”grump”tious homemade soups & salads.  For the grand finale, try one of desserts such as cheesecake, double layer chocolate fudge cake - ask your server what the special dessert of the day is.  If you’re in a hurry, call ahead & we’ll have your order “ready to go” when you get there. We are very well known for the famous “Grumpy Burger” & now also have the Papa Grumpy Burger, aka “The Big Peter”…that’s a lot of beef there, but if you’re really hungry, that will definitely do the trick.
THE PATIO:  If you enjoy the great outdoors but want to stay close to the action, our outdoor patio awaits you. The patio is full service with one of our lovely servers so whether you’re eating, or drinking outside you’ll be well taken care.  It’s a great place to just park your “butt” too (for the smokers). 
ENTERTAINMENT, FUN & GAMES:
Weekend Entertainment:  LIVE MUSIC/BANDS – Grumpy's hosts some of the best bands in the area every Friday & Saturday night (Bands on Thursday too starting May 3^rd).  It's best to get your seats early in the evening because we fill up quickly. We sometimes have changes & updates for our entertainment so be sure to check our schedule for all the latest fun!
Fun & Games:  We’ve got pool tables & a full size old school shuffleboard as well as stand up & tabletop games ….come on out to play any night of the week! 
KIDS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME:  Kids of all ages loves Grumpy’s…younger folks can be a little picky at times but we know what they like to eat.  We’ve got a great menu for the younger ones so bring them on in.  Kids 10 & under eat FREE from the children’s menu every Monday & Saturday (1 child’s meal free when ordering from the children’s menu with the purchase of 1 paying adult ordering any entrée from the regular menu)
SPORTS & RACE FANS:  All the games & races will be on in every area at Grumpy’s for the Sports & Race Fans.  Grab your friends & come on in to enjoy all the good eats & drinks on special.  If you’ve got a big group, give us a quick call to let us know you’re coming…we’ll reserve a great spot for you to cheer on your favorite team or driver.  HAMMER TIME starts at the beginning of every game with $1 drafts, $1 wells & $3 Jaeger shots, until it’s over.  Ask for the “Caution Flag” specials too during races.
HAPPY HOUR:  Happy Hour is from 11am to 8pm EVERYDAY!
GROUP PARTIES, MEETINGS, RECEPTIONS: Grumpy’s is open to take reservations for any type of event or function.  your club, organization or business meeting. You can also make reservations for birthday parties, anniversaries, family gatherings, Christmas parties, wedding receptions, club/organizational meetings or whatever special event may come across your calendar.  Please try to give us at least 5 days notice prior to your event date, if possible.  If entertainment is needed for your event such as a KJ (karaoke), DJ, or even live music, we can arrange it.  You just let us know what you want & we’ll take care of the rest so that you can relax & enjoy your event with no worries. ATTENTION CHARITY EVENTS! Hold your Charity event or fundraiser at Grumpy's and we will donate a percentage of the sales made during the event, back to your charity!
